The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is planning to have a permanent vaccination unit.
The hospital has submitted an application to use its site in Colney Lane – which was used to carry out Covid-19 vaccinations for staff and patients – as a base “for some clinical teams” while not being used for vaccinations.

The N&N decided to purchase the building, located within the staff car park behind the West Annexe site, after being told funding for the facility would be terminated at the end of March 2023.
A design and access statement submitted by the N&N reads: "While there are no immediate plans for another mass vaccination programme, the Trust has taken the strategic decision to purchase the building so that it has a facility onsite to support any future programmes that may arise."
The application will be considered by South Norfolk District Council.
