A Norwich restaurant, which reopened under new ownership earlier this year, has been awarded two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence.

The Last in St Georges Street earned the prestigious accolade after a visit from an AA inspector.

Mother-and-son duo Joanna and Sebastian Taylor, the former head waiter at The Ritz in London, reopened the restaurant in March this year.

The Last was a finalist in two categories at the Norfolk Food & Drink Awards 2024 - restaurant of the year and Mr Fraser for chef of the year.

Mr Taylor said: "We are very pleased about the two Rosettes and are aiming for three next year and to also get listed in the Michelin Guide.

"We have had lots of five-star reviews on various platforms and have plenty of regulars."

Restaurants that hold two Rosettes, with a maximum of five available, are described as "excellent" and they pay "obvious attention to the selection of quality ingredients".
