A football manager from Norwich has spoken out thanking fans for the "truly overwhelming" support after the death of his baby son Theo.
Liam Manning, manager of Bristol City announced he was taking a period of absence last week following the tragedy.
Now the 38-year-old who played for the Canaries during his youth career from 1999 to 2002, has spoken of his gratitude on the club’s social media sites.

Yesterday he said: “In what has been the most difficult time of my and my family’s life, it has been truly overwhelming the support we have received from the Bristol City supporters and the wider football family.
“From the England Under-21s game at Ashton Gate to the game at Middlesbrough, we have been truly touched by the response and feel proud to have been able to share Theo’s name.
“The Lansdowns - family of club owner Steve Lansdown, Brian Tinnion - technical director, Chris Hogg - assistant manager, and the staff and players have been incredible and I am fortunate to work with such great people."

“Finally, life is extremely precious – enjoy the good times, stick together in the tough times, but most importantly make the most of the time that we have.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I look forward to seeing you at the game.”
The club did not put a timescale on Manning’s absence.
