A Deliveroo rider is unable to work after his electric bike was stolen from outside a Co-op store. 

Valko Valchev left his bike unlocked at the Co-op in Earlham Road, Norwich, to pick up a delivery and after being in the shop for a matter of minutes returned to find it gone.  

CCTV footage from the store shows the bike being taken by a group of young boys and their identities remain unknown.

Mr Valchev immediately filed a report with the police after the theft earlier this month but has had little luck finding his bike. 

"I have spent entire nights walking around the area in vain trying to find the bike,” he said. "There seems to be a group of youths who have worked out that we leave our bikes unattended and unlocked for a few minutes and have been pouncing on the area."

The 20-year-old, who has a wife and a two-year-old child, has been struggling to make ends meet since the theft as the job is his only form of income.  

In a desperate attempt, he posted in a Facebook group that claims to be a tracker account to find stolen items but ended with him being scammed out of £100.

Mr Valchev has been trying to find alternative forms of work but has been struggling to find anything suitable. 

He has set up a GoFundMe to raise money for a new bike and has received £235 of his £1,100 goal.
