A charity has opened a new nursery in a village on the outskirts of Norwich.

The staff at Crackerjacks welcomed the first children to their nursery at the new £3m Jubilee Centre in St Giles Park in Cringleford last week. 

The charity has been providing early years provision in the village for more than 50 years, offering play-based learning to children between the age of two and four.

Manager Karen Latoy said: "Due to the growth of Cringleford and the increased demand for nursery and preschool places, we have been working with the parish council for a number of years to open an additional site.

The charity also runs a preschool in Cringleford Primary School which will continue to operate during term time for children from the age of two and half years.
