A Norwich-based charity has partnered with a company to give students construction training with new materials.
Grayson, a provider of construction consumables, has joined forces with St Edmunds Society (St Eds) to improve the training and education of young people aged 16 to 18.
The charity will now receive new materials and equipment to be used for teaching purposes.
The charity, which supports people who find mainstream education challenging, offers courses and qualifications in areas including carpentry, bricklaying, painting and decorating, plastering, tiling and plumbing.
The collaboration with Grayson will provide students with up-to-date equipment, including materials for cavity wall construction and other on-site techniques.
This will help St Eds to expand its curriculum and offer further enrichment activities.
Heidi Duhig, fundraising manager at St Eds, said: “The tutors are thrilled with the new resources provided by Grayson.
“These are tools and materials we wouldn’t typically have access to due to budget constraints, and they allow us to provide a more comprehensive and engaging learning experience for our students.
"Thanks to Grayson's support, we can now expose our students to a broader range of construction skills and knowledge, better preparing them for their future careers.”
