Over the years we built up a great work relationship and allwsys invited myself and my partner for dinner. And i still have one of your books (puddings galore) What can I say. Just a great human being and he will be missed by myself and so many others. RIP

When I worked at Flegg High School, I had the privilege of working with Richard regularly, where he would treat our pupils to a complimentary three-course meal. The children were always astonished by his generosity and kindness. More recently, he supported me in the redesign of St Stephen's church kitchen, where his advice saved us a considerable amount of money. Richard made such a difference to so many people and will be greatly missed!

A memorable new years eve with just a small radio ushering in the new year, a seat at the kitchen table for the big 40 or just a quiet meal for 2 and then those speical memories with those also now sadly paased.. Always full of joy and happy to talk at length. Gentle and kind with a clear drive and professionalism. And then onto the Assembly Rooms and what an absolute triumph. So many wonderful events and ideas. The list just goes on. Truly a great man full of passion and humility. Rest in peace Richard. You will never be forgotten and thank you.

He was so kind and generous with his time when she did her dissertation on whether Norfolk is considered a food and drink tourism destination. Richard was so helpful and knowledgeable and the information he shared along with his wealth of experience that he freely and generously offered was invaluable. She got the highest score for a dissertation in her whole year and part of that success was thanks to Richard. Such a lovely man who will be missed terribly. Deep condolences to all his family.
