Drivers have been warned of disruption in the NR3 area of Norwich due to a sinkhole opening up.
Gertrude Road is currently closed with the investigation of the subsidence and repair works due to start on Monday and last until August 21.
It comes after the road was initially closed by Norfolk County Council for two weeks of emergency subsidence repairs in mid-May.
A spokeswoman for the council said the previous subsidence was not at this location and "there is nothing to suggest that the two instances of subsidence are connected at this stage".
Subsidence is when the ground underneath a building or road starts to sink causing danger to people in the area.
First Bus has issued a service alert after being forced to take a diversion route due to the obstruction.
The 10/10A bus service will be redirected via Mousehold Avenue and Silver Road during the works.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
