Big changes are planned for a garage outside of the city which was recently sold to new owners.
Brooke Garage is due to close on Wednesday as current keepers Sarah and Andrew Harmer retire after 37 years.
The Norwich Road premises will now be used by BMC Car Sales Group which plans to alter the exterior with blue and silver signage.
Under plans submitted to South Norfolk Council, cladding on the front and sides of the building will be replaced and a large BMC logo will be placed above the main entrance.

Many of the 980 sq ft building's older features will be retained such as its lights and concertina doors but roofing and concrete parapets will be updated.
BMC currently operates out of a unit at Brooke Industrial Park around a mile down the road.
Sarah and Andrew Harmer announced last week that they would be passing over the reins to the garage last week after rumours started to spread.
News of the couple's retirement was met with well wishes on social media and they thanked their customers for the many years of memories.
