A city bar is celebrating its first birthday in style by hosting a street party in the Norwich Lanes.
Dick’s Bar in Bedford Street is joining forces with an array of local businesses to put on an afternoon of live music, street food and cocktails.
The event, called Dick’s Ding Dong, is being held on July 14, the same day the Norwich Lanes Fayre was scheduled to take place before it was cancelled due to a clash with the Euro 2024 final.
Andy Pitt and Tom Ginn opened the American-style bar in July 2023 following the closure of Frank’s Bar at the same site.
“It's been an amazing first year at Dick's Bar,” Mr Ginn said. “To celebrate, we're teaming up with our wonderful neighbours and some fantastic local hospitality businesses to throw a street party.

"Join us for a fun-filled day with great music, phenomenal food and an array of cocktails.”
Brick Pizza, Jarrolds, Dogfish and Take Thai are among the 11 businesses that will be at the birthday celebrations.
Food options will include American classics from Dick’s Bar, world-famous oysters from the Thornham Oyster Co and Street Food Paella from Patrón.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available from pop-up bars alongside Milk’s soft-serve ice cream.
Live music for the event, which runs from midday to 6pm, is being curated by the team from Wild Paths Festival.
