From fairy-tale swamps to 1960's Baltimore, a Strictly Come Dancing star will be returning to Norwich next year in a new UK tour.
With show-stopping numbers and dance-routines, the hit West End and Broadway musical Hairspray will be coming to Norwich Theatre Royal from February 10 to 15 in 2025.
Best known for her time as a professional dancer on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, joining the cast of the UK tour, Joanne Clifton is set to star as "the fierce yet fabulous" Velma von Tussle.

Dancing their way into history, the musical follows the story of Tracy Turnblad and her friends who audition for the local teen dance television show and rally against the studio's discrimination and racial segregation in the 1960s.
The show will feature some of musical theatre’s biggest and best hit songs, including Welcome to the 60s, You Can’t Stop the Beat, Good Morning Baltimore and more.

Making her directorial debut, Brenda Edwards, who previously played Motormouth Maybelle in three productions of Hairspray, plans to bring "new energy and excitement this time from behind the scenes".
Tickets will cost between £15 - £58 and can be booked on the Norwich Theatre Royal website.
