This year, Norwich Samaritans mark their diamond anniversary with a ball.
April marks 60 years of helping those in need.
The branch will honour the occasion with a Diamond Anniversary Fundraising Ball scheduled for Saturday, March 23 at The Octagon Barn, Little Plumstead, thanks to generous sponsorship from Overton Ltd.
James Ellis, director of Norwich Samaritans, said: “We wanted to celebrate this anniversary by bringing together local businesses and stakeholders for a night of celebration.
"It costs us £60,000 to run our branch every year, so an event like this will help us to keep answering calls to those in emotional distress.”
The ball is set to be an evening of dining and entertainment including a raffle, auction and live music from NightTrain.
In the last 12 months the branch has given 8,101 hours of listening of which 2,365 hours where during the night, they have answered 29,292 telephone calls and had 1,453 conversations online.
Tickets to the ball are £100 each, or £850 for a table of 10.
