One of Coronation Street's longest-serving characters is set to join his wife in Norwich for a festive reunion.
Earlier this year, actress Jennie McAlpine temporarily left the cobbles on maternity leave.
She welcomed her third child, Doris, with her husband Chris Farr in April 2023.
In the show, her character Fiz Dobbs was written out as she left Weatherfield's Underworld factory to take a job at a Norwich factory.

Tyrone's grandmother Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) will suggest to him that he takes their girls to Norfolk to see Fiz while she spends Christmas with Roy Cropper (David Neilson).
Off-screen, actor Alan Halsall is taking a break from the soap after undergoing surgery on his knee.
He posted on Instagram in November following the surgery and wrote: "I know I have a long 9-12 months of rehabilitation ahead of me but I’m sure with the support of family and friends I’ll get there."
