A family are desperately searching for their beloved wallaby after she went missing at the weekend.
The Hood family, in Keswick, have some very unusual residents including emus, pygmy goats and their beloved wallabies.
Sheila and Bruce are an inseparable pair, but it is believed that something scaring them has led to the female of the pair escaping the family home.
Kerry Hood, who owns the animals, said: “Over the weekend we believe someone has spooked Sheila.

“They live in a really big field. Wallabies don’t bounce everywhere, they only really do that if they have to and Sheila in particular has never tried to get over the fence.
“We believe that she has either been spooked into a corner and had to jump as high as she can or someone has tried to grab hold of her so she has jumped the fence to get away.”
They have been unable to get the wallaby back having had one recent sighting on the Mulbarton Road, but they were not able to get there before she left.
While Sheila will be able to find food and a water source, she is in danger of predators and road traffic.
Kerry added: “We have been hunting high and low, and both my children - who really miss her -have also been searching every day.

“They are worth a lot of money, so we are worried that someone has tried to grab them.”
Kerry and her family are appealing for anyone who spots their beloved Sheila to call immediately.
She added: “Don’t try to catch her or go towards her as this will make her run away, keep a safe distance, and keep eyes on her, and check her location.
“Call us straight away and we will get to where she is.”
