A rural business hub is hoping to keep caravan pitches it set up during the Covid pandemic.
Trevor Thain, owner of Black Barn Farm in Norwich Road, Salhouse, has applied for full retrospective planning permission to Broadland District Council to keep 20 caravan pitches with electrical hook ups.
The pitches were introduced in February 2021 after the government relaxed general permitted development rights to allow the temporary use of land to be used as commercial campsites for up to 56 days.
Mr Thain provided the new tourism offer last summer.
According to the applicant's tourism statement the pitches, which cost £25 a night, attracted 151 individual bookings.
It said: "The success of the site 2021 demonstrates that it is both popular and financially viable."
As well as the pitches, the 22-acre site includes woodland, land for mixed grazing and fruit and vegetables and a barn which has become a shop, café and space for local businesses - which was granted permission by Broadland last November.
