Tourists visiting the Fine City will experience a slight disruption when visiting a major landmark.
The external lift for Norwich Castle is out of action at the moment after being damaged.
The operations team at the castle is investigating the cause of this.
A spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, the lift is likely to be out of action until after the weekend, but we’re working with our contractors to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
"We’re also working to ensure visitors are aware of the situation before they arrive for their visit with our website updated and temporary signage to alert people to the problem.”
Step-free access is available via Farmers Avenue while the work is being carried out to repair the lift which is well-used by those visiting the castle.
It comes as a multi-million pound revamp of Norwich Castle's keep is taking place at the Grade I listed building.
