Train passengers faced delays today after a boat became jammed under a railway bridge over the River Yare in Thorpe St Andrew, but lines have now reopened.
Delays of up to 40 minutes hit passengers after the accident between Thorpe Island and Thorpe St Andrew.
It affected the Norwich to Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Sheringham lines.
The railway reopened at 3.40pm after the boat was removed and the bridge examination was completed.
The tourist boat was wedged under the bridge at high tide.
Bus companies accepted train tickets and Greater Anglia said six rail replacement buses were sent to Norwich.
