Homes in parts of Norfolk were hit with power cuts last night as a storm front battered the county.
Hundreds of homes are reportedly affected in areas surrounding Thetford, Attleborough, East Harling and Diss, according to the UK Power Network outage map.
A yellow weather warning was in place for the eastern region on Sunday evening (October 23) until the early hours of this morning, with heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds.
Weatherquest forecaster Dan Holley said the weather system produced gusts of up to 60mph, with frequent lightning, torrential rain and hail.
Regions of France that the storm passed over were battered with hail the size of golf balls.
Powered has now returned to most of the affected areas.
However, 681 homes near Diss - including areas such as Palgrave, Wortham, Rickinghall and Redgrave - are still without power.
UK Power Network is yet to confirm when it will be restored.
Chris Bell, a meteorologist from Weatherquest, said the storm front has now cleared.
He added: "Today (October 24) it will remain cloudy with a few isolated showers and some blustery wind, but not as strong as last night."
