Pressure is mounting on pub bosses as anti-social parking problems outside a city boozer go unsolved for more than a year.
People living near Wetherspoon's The Whiffler are at the end of their tether as the issue persists for another summer.
Despite the pub group assuring locals back in May that there would be a meeting held to discuss the problem of patrons parking on the pavement along City View Road, months have passed and nothing has happened.
Phil, who lives in City View Road in Hellesdon, said: "The meeting we expected back in May never happened.
"It has been more than a year since they first made promises to fix the problem.
"I've seen several near-misses in the last year. Just this week someone was pulling out of the car park and couldn't see the car coming along the road because of the cars parked along the road, including around the junction."
Last August, the parking problems escalated, leading to several near-misses and dangerous parking in the area.
Phil added: "Some days it has been mental.
"What is really frustrating is that often there are spaces in the car park but people choose to park on the street anyway.
"We are customers at the pub but some of the customers are making it hard for those who live in the area."
Lacey Douglass, Hellesdon South councillor, has been at loggerheads with Wetherspoon for more than a year.

She said: "It is incredibly frustrating that residents still don't have resolutions to the anti-social parking around The Whiffler.
"It is now almost 18 months since the only residents meeting to include Wetherspoon took place and despite assurances that plans were being worked on, nothing has materialised.
"Communication to residents and councillors from Wetherspoon is virtually non-existent.
"Residents have endured another summer with dangerous and inconsiderate parking and are rightly fed-up waiting for the promised improvements."
Wetherspoon bosses said work has been going on behind the scenes to try to find a solution.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: "We have commissioned a traffic survey we received on September 3.
"We have also commissioned a topographical survey which, with the traffic survey, will form the basis of a planning application for the development of additional car parking spaces at the pub.
"We will arrange a meeting with local residents in the very near future so that we can explain our proposal to them prior to submitting our planning application."
