A Luncheon Club in a city suburb has celebrated a milestone anniversary.
The Mile Cross Salvation Army's Luncheon Club in Norwich has marked its 40th birthday with a dinner, complete with a singalong.
The late February bash saw it aptly themed as a ruby anniversary.
The hall was adorned with red balloons, and the guests, amounting to nearly 40, were encouraged to dress in red.
The guest list included Majors Colin and Rosemary Cowdery, who established the Club in 1984.
Previous organisers such as Major Kath Grimshaw were also in attendance at the event.
Thanks were given to community organiser Peter Jeffrey and commanding officer, Major Susan Robinson.
The dinner menu consisted of pea soup, roast beef with all the trimmings, trifle, and, of course, birthday cake.
Beverages including tea, coffee, and hot chocolate were served to cap off the day.
An 'excellent time' is said to have been had by all.
