Norwich is gearing up for its inaugural Dragon Boat Race.
The spectacle, set to take place at the Lady Julian Bridge Riverside, is expected to draw a large crowd and generate much-needed funds for charity Brave Futures.
Each team, comprising up to 10 paddlers plus a drummer, will compete in ornate 30-foot Chinese dragon boats in a series of heats leading to a grand finale.
Sandra Lucas, corporate and events fundraiser of Brave Futures, said: “We are delighted to have received such an excellent response to our call for crews from organisations across the region.
"The Challenge promises some spectacular racing and a fantastic event for all the teams.
"We hope we can fill the Riverside with spectators to cheer the crews on.”
The event, sponsored by Larking Gowen, has so far attracted 14 teams and it is hoped that number will soon rise to 20.
The registration deadline is March 22, leaving plenty of time for more teams to join in.
The teams will raise money for the charity through sponsorship, providing vital resources for Brave Futures.

The charity supports children and young people in Norfolk and Suffolk who have experienced sexual abuse, offering them a safe space and help to rebuild their futures.
The event will take place on April 27.
Said to be exciting colourful and great fun, no previous experience is required, just plenty of team spirit.
