Former Norwich City manager Chris Hughton was reportedly attacked by a fan after a shock Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) defeat for his team.
Former Canaries boss Hughton, 65, manages Ghana and was in Abidjan in the Ivory Coast for the Black Stars' opening group game of the tournament.
The assault is said to have taken place outside the team's hotel, with widespread reports of an unidentified man being handed to Ivorian Police.

The ex-City boss came under fire from Ghanaian fans following a shock 2-1 group stage loss to underdogs Cape Verde.
Ghana have won Afcon four times whereas Cape Verde have only qualified on four occasions.
The Ghana Football Association is yet to comment but local reports suggest the man was quickly separated from the former Canaries manager.
Hughton had said after the defeat: "We are incredibly, hugely disappointed with the result. We came into the game with a game plan.
"And I know and this group of players also know how the Ghanaian people see this game, see this tournament and our expectations going into this one.

"It's a defeat we're hugely disappointed with."
Hughton was in charge of Norwich between June 2012 and April 2014, leading the club to 11th in the Premier League in his first season but being sacked with five games remaining of 2013-14 with relegation imminent.
He went on to have a successful spell with Brighton, leading the Seagulls to top-flight stability and then had a year with Nottingham Forest.
The former Republic of Ireland and Tottenham defender's dad was Ghanian and he initially joined the African nation as technical director in February 2022 but became head coach a year later.
