Another NR3 alleyway has been transformed after the success of the Beaconsfield Road alleyway transformation.
Many neighbours living in the area complain that their alleys have been left to go to ruin, with many used as dumping grounds or being impossible to use due to growth through the cracks.
But people are taking this into their own hands and cleaning up the area to ensure it can be better enjoyed by neighbours and wildlife alike.
Most recently the alley behind Beaconsfield Road was painted and had planters put in to transform it into a community garden.

This time it was the alleyway from Silver Road to Marlborough Road’s turn to get a makeover.
Alex Catt, Green Party councillor for the area, spent last weekend on his hands and knees ensuring that an alleyway could be rid of the weeds making the ground uneven.

He said: “We get endless feedback from residents that our area is being neglected by our city and county council, street cleaning doesn’t happen and alleyways are left to become overgrown rubbish tips that are hotspots for anti-social behaviour.
“We decided to take matters into our own hands when the state of this alley was reported to us, and just by cutting back the overgrowth, litter picking and weeding the alleyway, it is now a much more welcoming place.
“It took us just about three hours and we had over six bags of green waste at the end of it, but it is really fulfilling to just get something done instead of waiting for the council - who will likely never come.
“We have another stretch of this alleyway to do, and will be meeting at 3pm on August 27 to finish up the work and we would invite all to join us.”
